"I’m sorry but… We can’t win everything" - Zverev after ending Djokovic's Golden Slam hopes at Olympic Games

Novak Djokovic lost his chance at claiming a coveted Golden Slam which is all Grand Slam tournaments and an Olympic gold medal with defeat to Alexander Zverev.

Zverev will now face Karen Khachanov with a gold medal on the line and he discussed what he said to Djokovic at the net post match as well as the Golden Slam.

“I told Novak (Djokovic) he is the greatest player of all time,” Zverev explained about their embrace after the contest.

“I am 99% sure that he will win the most Slams, the most Masters 1000s. I know he was playing for history, for the Golden Slam.

“I’m sorry but… We can’t win everything.”
