The schedule for the final day of the
Los Cabos Open has thrown up a potential problem as both finalists could end up playing three matches in a row.
In an X post by Oleg S, it was highlighted that
Casper Ruud and
Jordan Thompson's singles final starts at 8pm local time. Regardless of who wins that, both players will be immediately back in action for the doubles semi final, where Ruud will be alongside William Blumberg and Thompson partnering up with compatriot Max Purcell. This means one player is guaranteed to play three matches in one night.
The only respite that either Ruud or Thompson appear to get is the trophy presentation that takes place following their final. The tournament organisers may not have expected this scenario and are yet to acknowledge if there will be any adjustments.
