The ATP Doha wild card selection yielded a few surprises as
Alexander Zverev paired up with
Liam Broady to play doubles at the event;
Andy Murray to play singles.
Andy Murray getting a wild card is not a surprise as it was known that he would most likely get one. He's been over there for a while preparing for the Dubai event where he also got a wild card and it's going to be interesting how Murray will perform for the first time since his Australian Open heroics.
Zverev and Broady haven't played doubles in the past but the entrance of Zverev into a doubles event isn't a huge surprise. He tends to switch it up at times and play some doubles.
