Former world number one
Andy Murray’s pictures on social
media in Halloween costume left fans amazed. The 37-year-old has recently
retired from professional tennis after participating in the Paris Olympics.
Murray recently posted a picture on the social media
platform Instagram, which left the fans amazed. The former world number one posted
a picture with the caption: “Hope you are all enjoying Halloween as much as me”.
The picture became extremely popular as more than 1,500 fans responded to it. “It
is absolutely impossible not to love this man,” one fan wrote. “I need a shirt
that says "I fuckin love Andy Murray,” another one wrote.
Murray, who is often regarded as the greatest British player
in the history of men’s tennis in the singles category, retired from
professional tennis after struggling with fitness concerns for a long period of
time. He announced his retirement after the Australian Open in 2018 but
miraculously returned to the court after some time.
Murray announced earlier this year that he would retire from
professional tennis after the Paris Olympics. His original plan was to leave
the sport after taking part in the Wimbledon’s singles category, but he suffered
a serious back injury in the Queen’s ATP Championship. That injury forced the
Glasgow-born to only participate in the doubles category with his brother Jamie
but the duo were knocked out from the first round.
Murray finished his career with three Grand Slam titles to
his name. He first lifted the US Open in 2012 after beating Novak Djokovic in
the final in a five-set thriller with a score of 7–6(12–10), 7–5, 2–6, 3–6, 6–2.
He then lifted the Wimbledon title after beating Djokovic in the final in straight
sets with a score of 6-4, 7-5, 6-4. Murray’s final title was also Wimbledon in
2016 where he got the better of Canada’s Milos Raonic with a score of 6-4, 7-6,
7-6.
