"It transforms your feeling about tennis completely" says Marin Cilic about the Davis Cup

The Croatian played exceptionally all year for his country and in the final, he was once again the deciding factor that allowed his nation to secure the Davis Cup trophy. Cilic always loved watching the Davis Cup even as a kid and remembering those times he said:

"It's something that you cherish and you want to play for. I watched it several times on TV as a kid and then experienced it live. It just, you know, transforms your feeling about tennis completely."

The Croatian will once again fight for his nation at the 2021 Davis Cup and all his fans were rather happy to see him find some good form in Moscow last week. Cilic played some of his best tennis in a long time to reach the final of the Kremlin Cup but ultimately he lost to Aslan Karatsev. Cilic has won the Kremlin Cup twice before but he could not make it three.

After the loss, he wrote on his social media: A great week in Moscow, a little short today for title #3@vtbkremlincup. Congrats to @karatsev93 on the title. Thank you Moscow, it's always a pleasure 😊. The Russian tour continues, next stop: St. Petersburg."

Today he score a good win over Albert Ramos in St. Petersburg continuing his great run of form as of late. Croatian tennis fans hope it will last till the Davis Cup Finals.
