Although the
Paris Masters is one of the biggest events on the ATP calendar, retired American tennis star
Sam Querrey believes the tournament is among the worst of the ATP events.
The Paris Masters in the final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, and often draws numerous eyeballs as several tennis players tend to save their best performances for the tournament, seeing it as their final opportunity to make their mark during the grueling season.

Ugo Humbert in the final despite also facing a raucous partisan crowd. Although the World No.2 will have fond memories of Paris, former Wimbledon semifinalist Sam Querrey believes the event is one of the worst on the ATP tour.
"The event is not even in Paris," began the former World No.11. "It’s like 20 minutes outside of Paris, it’s 40 degrees, there’s nothing to do. 8am, the sun goes down at 4pm. It’s the worst.
"I love Paris. This is like 20 minutes outside of Paris in Bercy. You don’t go to the Eiffel Tower when you have this tournament or the nice restaurants. You have to go on the subway and go in for like 30 minutes."
