It never gets old, does it? Centre Court rides the @andy_murray rollercoaster once again 🎢 #Wimbledon
It was a very late finish for Andy Murray on Wednesday but the Brit got it done and moved on to R3 after trailing 1-2 after three sets.
Andy Murray needed five sets and almost four hours to finish off Oscar Otte but he managed to do it and move on to R3. It was a very draining effort for Murray but he was just happy to enjoy the moment. He celebrated every point and game fiercely showing how much it means to him.
He said:
"It's been tough. But that's one of the reasons why I'm still playing, is because of moments like [this]. Like, why would you want to give that up?. The atmosphere was good the whole match, but especially the last sort of hour and a half was brilliant. I still enjoy that."
Murray fed off the amazing energy of the crowd who did not falter even as the hours became rather late. The match ended 30 minutes before the curfew and on the crowd, Murray said:
"The crowd created a great atmosphere, but I think I was also engaging them and we were feeding off each other a lot at the end. I'm aware in the moment, I know what a great atmosphere is in tennis. I have played in a few of them over the years, and that was definitely one of them."
