British star Jack Draper is set to make his comeback to the ATP Tour this month, when he joins the field of competitors at the 2024 Vienna Open.
The World No.20 was forced to retire during his quarterfinal bout against Frenchman Ugo Humbert at the Tokyo Open last month, as he sustained an abdominal injury during the match. Subsequently, he pulled out of the Shanghai Masters, but appears to be on track to make a return in Vienna.

Draper has an outside chance at qualifying for ATP Finals

The 22-year old was spotted training at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, and the expectations are for him to return to competitive action at the Vienna Open, which kicks off on October 21, 2024. Additionally, Draper is also likely to compete at the Paris Masters, which is the last ATP Masters 1000 event of the season.
Although ranked outside the top 10, Draper still has a mathematical shot of qualifying for the year-ending ATP Finals in Turin in November. However, the British No.1 would need to win both events in Vienna and Paris. Furthermore, certain players would have lose in the early stages in order for Draper to secure a berth at the year-ending elite event.
