Another great doubles match happened today at the
Laver Cup with Sock and Auger beating Murray and Berrettini 2-6 6-3 10-8.
It was a hugely important win for Team World as they pulled the score within one 8-7 for Europe meaning that there will be at least two more matches played. Had they lost, Djokovic would have had the opportunity to end the Laver Cup with a win over
Felix Auger-Aliassime.
The Canadian played really well in this especially as the match went on but he'll face a bigger challenge in the next match. Taking on Djokovic will be tough but if he somehow wins that, World will take the lead. The American - Canadian combo had a slow start here because it took them a bit of time to get used to each other.
They dropped the opening serve twice in the first set to lose it 2-6. The second set was much better by them because they served better than in the first set while Europe fell off a bit. They were also better at reading the serve of their opponents and took the second set 6-3.
The final match tiebreak was an exciting one with Europe having the upper hand early but some double faults cost them. Both teams had two but Europe's came at the wrong time in the set and team World was able to close it out 10-8.
