Former World No.8
Jack Sock has been awarded a wildcard entry to the upcoming
Dallas Open tournament.
The 29-year old has yet to compete on any ATP main-draw events this year, but did reach the quarterfinals at the Columbus Challenger event last week. However, Sock was forced to withdraw from the tournament after testing positive for Covid-19.
"Unfortunately at the mandatory testing in Columbus my result came back positive," said Sock. "Although I'm completely asymptomatic I've begun my 5-day isolation and will be back competing in no time, See y'all soon."
Nonetheless, the World No.150 quickly recovered from his bout with Covid as he returned to action this week at the Cleveland Challenger event. The Dallas Open runs from February 07-13, 2022.
