Jamie Murray has been added to Team GB for the Tokyo Olympic Games where he will join his brother Andy Murray.
Jamie Murray was initially left off of Team GB for the Tokyo Olympic Games as the team featured Dan Evans, Andy Murray, Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury. After Dan Evans contracted COVID in the past days the team needed to find his replacement and Jamie Murray was chosen as his replacement.
He will replace Evans in the doubles draw where he will partner Neal Skupski. Murray was not happy when he was initially left off of the team saying:
“To not be selected as part of the team feels like a rejection and you feel slighted by it."
4th Olympics
The Tokyo Olympic Games will be the 4th Olympics Jamie Murray will take part in and they will be the first ones where he won't partner Andy Murray in the doubles. His best result came in Beijing in 2008 when he reached the 2nd round.
