Sinner has been playing well all week long but Griekspoor gave him quite a bit of trouble in this but the Italian managed to find a solution 7-5 7-6(5).
Sinner faced Griekspoor in front of the Dutch player's native crowd which is always a tough thing. He's known as a player that rarely surrenders breaks and he only did it once in this match. Sinner actually only had one break point but that was enough in the first set to take it 7-5. Both played well, there is no question about it but when it mattered the most, Sinner was able to go a level up compared to his opponent.
It happened towards the end of the first set which Sinner won 7-5. The second set went with both players keeping the other away from any break points. Sinner actually didn't face a single break point in the entire match which just shows how good he was playing. The Dutch player countered him not allowing a single one in this set as well but in the tiebreak Sinner found solutions.
25 winners from Sinner and only 11 unforced errors is as good as you can play and it was enough for the final. Tomorrow comes a huge challenge in Daniil Medvedev.
