Simone Vagnozzi has revealed that it is special working with Italy’s young tennis star Jannik Sinner. The 22-year-old is often regarded as one of the most highly-rated players currently playing in the men’s singles category alongside Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and America’s Ben Shelton.
Vagnozzi, who is currently associated with Sinner as a coach, has heaped praise on the young tennis star and stated it is ‘special’ working with the current world number four.

"Working with Sinner is special, he can still improve a lot,” he said. “Knowing that every day your student goes onto the court with an important goal makes everything easy. He can still improve a lot. A defect? He is stubborn, but after a match he easily understands where he went wrong as happened in Rome and Paris."
Sinner had an impressive outing in 2023 at the highest level where he won four ATP titles. He finished the season on a high after leading Italy to their first Davis Cup title after more than four decades.
In the major tournaments, Sinner’s best outing came at Wimbledon where he was knocked out after losing the semifinal to the current world number one Serbia’s Novak Djokovic with a score of 6-3, 6-4, 7-6.
