Jannik Sinner is the latest name to withdraw from the Tokyo
Olympic Games as the youngster announced on his Instagram.
Jannik Sinner has been enduring a rough stretch of results ever since his first Masters 1000 final in Miami earlier this year. Since then Sinner has struggled with form and his results on clay and grass have been very disappointing. That is the main reason why the Italian is pulling out of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
He announced the decision on Instagram where he wrote:
"By no means do I take this decision lightly, but I decided not to compete in the Olympics this year. I understand it's a huge privilege and honour to represent my country and I truly hope to do so for many years to come"
He explained that the reason have been poor results lately and he wanted to take some time to work on his development as a player. He wrote:
"My sole focus is to improve. I wanted to be open and honest with you guys and for you to understand my thought process behind this decision."
