Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan.
The 2021 year for American youngster Jenson Brooksby was a much better one than anyone anticipated. The youngster announced himself to the wider tennis audience at the Miami Open when he reached the main draw for qualifying. After that, he was able to score some good results on challenger events before entering the main draw of the French Open, again from qualifying.
Since then it's been steady growth for the American who almost upset Novak Djokovic at the US Open taking the first set with 6-2 before faltering afterward. His good play translated to the indoor hard courts of Europe and despite losing to Diego Schwartzman in the Antwerp European Open seminal he qualified for Milan.
Brooksby will take his rightful place at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan where he will compete against other bright stars of the game of tennis. The 20-year old became the fifth player to officially qualify for the event and the 2nd American, after compatriot Sebastian Korda. The event will run from the 9th till the 13th of November. He will also reach a new career-high on Monday that will bring him on the brink of entering the top 50.
