It will be a rerun of a match that happened only a week ago in Los Cabos when Brandon Nakashima defeated John Isner in straight sets to reach his first career final. Now the young American reached another final and after losing in Los Cabos to Norrie he will look to win his maiden title.
The 19-year old Nakashima played a fabulous match to come back and win against Emil Ruusuvouri 3-6 6-4 6-3. Nakashima is slowly establishing himself as a great talent on tour and regardless of the final outcome, he will make his top 100 debut today.
On the other side of the court will be John Isner who will be playing in his 9th Atlanta Open final. Since the events start in 2010 Isner failed to reach the final only two times. He played 8 of them so far and won 5. His last win came in 2018 when he defeated Ryan Harrison.
It will be an interesting final between two players on opposite sides of their careers. Nakashima defeated Isner a week ago but doing so in Atlanta will be tough as there is not an even Isner plays better. A lot will depend on the serve of Isner and last week he didn't have it.
