Anderson has been playing regular tennis for some time now and it's slowly paying off the the former Wimbledon finalists is finally stringing together some good performances. He picked up some form at the grass-court swing in the United Kingdom and that extended to North America.
He played great tennis all week long and it culminated against a very inspired Jenson Brooksby. The young American put forward an admirable performance against Anderson even playing better for the majority of the first set.
Brooksby forced several break points in the first time but each time Anderson was able to produce a timely winner or a good serve that allowed him to stay in the set. In the end, all got decided in the tiebreak where Anderson saved two set points to win it 10-8.
The experience of Anderson played a huge role and he was able to carry over the momentum from the first set to break Brooksby early. From there he held his serve thanks to some great serving to close out the match.
