Draw released for 2021 WTA Palermo Ladies Open including Collins, Samsonova and Teichmann

The 2021 Palermo Ladies Open will run from July 19th till July 25th with Danielle Collins, Ludmila Samsonova and Jil Teichmann attending.

The 2021 event will be the 27th edition of the WTA 250 event held on the red dirt which will feature several notable players. The event was held in 2020 with Fiona Ferro winning the trophy but the French player is not attending in 2021 which means we will have a new champion.

The top seed is Danielle Collins who does not count clay as a preferred surface but she is also capable of playing well. She has a tricky draw that might see her face Sharma in the quarterfinal, a player known as a capable clay player.

The 2nd seed is Liudmila Samsonova who had an amazing breakout on the grass winning her maiden trophy and breaking into the top 50. The Russian grew up in Italy which makes her familiarity with clay courts high. She has a tough draw that might see her play against clay specialists such as Diatchenko, Dulgheru or Dodin.
