Karen Khachanov didn't enjoy a very successful 2020 season, and his struggles continue also after the season as he has tested positive for COVID-19.
In 2020, the 24-years-old Russian managed to win only 20 out of 35 matches he played. On the other hand, his fellow countrymen, Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev enjoyed a great season.
Now, after the season, when Khachanov enjoyed some time off and started to look forward to the 2021 season, he was stopped by COVID-19. He and his family all tested positive and so now they need to self-isolate, what will push back Russian's plans with preseason training.
In a short message on his social media, Khachanov wrote: "Hey guys, I just wanted to give a quick update. I started my preseason in Dubai, but unfortunately, my wife, my son and myself tested positive for COVID-19. We are self-isolating ourselves and hopefully will be healthy soon. I wish everybody to stay healthy and take care of each other! Sending you lots of love and strength."
