2019 Mubadala World Tennis Championship will take place in Abu Dhabi from 19th - 21st of December 2019 and Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev join the strong field.

It was 2019 US Open finalist Daniil Medvedev who was supposed to play in Abu Dhabi. But he had to withdrew from the tournament when he said:
“I was really looking forward to making my debut in Abu Dhabi. It is with deep regret that I have had to withdraw through injury. I hope to make the trip in the future, and I wish everyone a hugely successfully championship."
Now, Medvedev's countrymen Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov join Stefanos Tsitsipas, Hyeon Chung, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Both are looking forward to playing at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship as they commented on this occasion.
“I can’t wait to return to the Mubadala World Tennis Championships and Abu Dhabi after a great experience last year. The weather is fantastic and the fans really know their tennis. The set-up is superb. The crowd can really get involved, and it also offers the perfect opportunity to get the new season off and run with some hard matches”, said Khachanov.
“I was fortunate enough to experience the championship a couple of years ago. With a very strong line-up it’s an opportunity to start the season with very competitive matches. The people of Abu Dhabi are great and I am looking forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones”, said Rublev.
