Andy Murray is going to have to make some tough calls in recent weeks because skipping over the rest of the clay season could harm his chance of being a seed at Wimbledon.
Being a seed at Wimbledon has a lot of benefits with an easier draw the main one. Murray is hoping for a good showing at the event and being a seed would help him tremendously. However, he might not have enough points to be a seed unless he plays the clay season because he will only have two weeks before Wimbledon to gather points on grass but that won't be enough.
It's a big dilemma for Murray whose return to clay was terrible losing to de Minaur 6-1 6-3. Speaking after the match he explained that he might skip over the rest of the clay season after this demoralising loss but doing so might be a problem with the Wimbledon dilemma. Even the challengers at this time play on clay so it's not much different for him.
