After being absent from the
Davis Cup for some time,
Alexander Zverev will play against Switzerland in Trier on Friday and Saturday and the recovered German who has spent most of the past year injured will play a big part.
This according to captain, Michael Kohlmann who believes he will lead the team effectively.
"I hope that he will be the leader of the team and play a very important part for us," said Kohlmann as per
TennisNet.
This is especially the case with Jan-Lennard Struff not playing due to injury. "He was extremely important for the team last year, scored a lot of points, but also off the court as a team leader. But I'm sure we can compensate for this loss too."
But in Switzerland, they will face a tough task. "Switzerland got another incredibly experienced man in Stan Wawrinka - a former Davis Cup winner, there aren't that many in the world".
