Nick Kyrgios is aiming to return at the Indian Wells Masters following his knee surgery that prevented him from playing at the Australian Open.
The Aussie player had great hopes for the first major in the year but a knee problem kept him off the court. He was forced to have surgery on it to clean up the injury and repair any damage with a short recovery to follow. He should be good to go for the Indian Wells Masters and that's the plan for him.
He played well last year there and he'd like to return this year even better. It's not ideal for Kyrgios who underlined this year as a year where he'll make things even better but some of those things are out of his control He's been very healthy last year which wasn't the case always in his career. Kyrgios shared a brief update from the hospital saying that the surgery was done and his agent provided a more detailed update saying:
“The surgery was a great success. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome of it. Now we will be pushing ahead for a speedy recovery and are aiming to see everyone at Indian Wells.”
