Nick Kyrgios and Novak
Djokovic were once again face-to-face on a tennis court. The All England Club
hosted the reunion of the stars, although this time the setting was not Center
Court but the practice courts, leading to both competitive and more relaxed
moments.
The Australian is at SW19 as a
commentator for television broadcasts, while the 7-time champion is preparing
to play the third round against Alexei Popyrin.
Kyrgios mentioned in an
interview with the Canberra Times a few days ago that he would like to hit with
Djokovic, and his wish came true. They were expected to train together on
Wednesday, but the rain postponed the meeting until Friday, a repeat of the 2022
Wimbledon final, though in a much more relaxed atmosphere this time.
According to the Daily
Express, during the training Kyrgios commented that 'Nole' was "just too
good" despite knowing all "your moves" in a post-training
conversation with Djokovic. The Aussie also teased Djokovic while both laughed:
"Come on Grand Slam champion," he told.
