Laver Cup organizers surprised by decision to move Roland Garros as it collides with 2020 Laver Cup

The 2020 Laver Cup should take place in Boston from 25th to 27th September 2020, however, Roland Garros was moved to start on 20th September 2020 and so the organizers react.

The whole tennis world was surprised by the decision to move the Roland Garros to September. USTA also responded in their statement as the French Open should now start just a week after the US Open. Many more tournaments will be affected by this move, including the 2020 Laver Cup.
The exhibition tournament that every year entertains the crowd in a different city. This year, it should take place in Boston and Team Europe will meet Team World once again. Roger Federer will be the part of this competition and organizers are surprised the FTF decided to move Roland Garros to the date when it overlaps with the Laver Cup. In the statement, Laver Cup organizers said:
"The tennis world learned today that the Frech Tennis Federation intends to schedule Roland Garros from Sept 20 - Oct 4, 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19. These dates overlap with the dates of Laver Cup 2020, already sold out, and scheduled for September 25 - 27, 2020 at TD Garden in Boston."
"This announcement came as a surprise to us and our partners - Tennis Australia, the USTA and the ATP. It raises many questions and we are assessing the situation. At this time, we want our fans, sponsors, broadcasters, staff, volunteers, players and the great city of Boston to know that we intend to hold Laver Cup 2020 as currently scheduled."
