Australia’s tennis star
Nick Kyrgios has reminded everyone
that he is leading a number of ATP tour charts.
The 28-year-old is famous for being outspoken, something
that has not always gone down well with the fans.
In an interesting tweet on Thursday evening, Kyrgios shared
a picture of him at the very top in two categories in the ATP tour—service and
performance under pressure—with a caption: “Lemme remind you before you open
your mouth.”
The list was indeed an interesting one considering it features
the likes of current world number one Carlos Alcaraz, the 23-time Grand Slam
winner Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and the world number five Greece’s Stefanos
Tsitsipas.
Kyrgios has been out of action for a while because of injuries
and had to sit out of all three Grand Slams in 2023.
His best year was the last one where he managed to play in
his only Grand Slam final in Wimbledon. However, it was a rather disappointing
end for him as he lost to Djokovic in four sets with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 6–4,
7–6(7–3).
He then went on to play in the quarterfinal of the US Open
where he lost to Russia’s Karen Khachanov in a five-set thriller with a score
of 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7, 6-4.
