Taylor Fritz will kick of his maiden ATP Finals appereance later today and he's looking to win the event.
Every event Fritz plays is one that he intends to win and he confirmed that in his interview before the event. His first match will be against Rafael Nadal on an indoor court that generally plays rather fast. That gives Fritz plenty of chances against Nadal who did not play that much lately.
He is feeling rather confident:
"To win [is my goal]. I think what makes all the people here who they are is everyone goes into the event believing they can win. I obviously want to have a good showing, but like everyone else, I’m here to win the event."
He added:
"When I started the year, my initial goal was Top 10. After how the year started, I was like, ‘I’m definitely in a good position to make it here [Turin]’. It became a goal of mine, I’m excited to be here."
The mathc will start at 21:00 CET and we'll have a report for you when it's done.
