In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, the ATP and WTA Tour off-season continues, with stars taking advantage of their free time before their return to the courts in 2026. The retired Rafael Nadal received a tribute this weekend during the Mallorca vs. Osasuna football match for his contribution as a global sports legend in his hometown. Also receiving a tribute in his home city was Argentine Francisco Cerundolo, who took to social media to give thanks for the honor he received in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires.

It marks one year since the retirement of the 14-time Roland Garros champion. While he has spent most of that time out of the public eye, in recent weeks he has received several tributes for his remarkable career and contribution to Spanish sport.

The Buenos Aires City Legislature today recognized tennis player Francisco Cerúndolo as an Outstanding Personality in Sports. The 27-year-old Argentine athlete was accompanied by his parents, María Luz and Alejandro, and his sister Constanza in an emotionally charged event. The South American finished the season as the No. 1 Latin American and marks his fourth consecutive year finishing the season inside the top 30, becoming one of the most standout non-European or American players of the last decade.

Lorenzo Musetti announced the birth of his second child with an Instagram post, sharing the details and the name chosen for his son. In a social media post, Musetti shared his happiness regarding the birth of his son on Saturday, November 29, whom they have named Leandro. He is the second child for the Italian world No. 8, who had already become a father in March 2024 to his eldest son, Ludovic, alongside his partner Veronica Confalonieri.

This happy news comes at the end of an excellent season for Musetti, who consolidated his place in the ATP Top 10, finishing the year by qualifying for the ATP Finals, where he secured a splendid victory over Alex de Minaur. Alexander Zverev is enjoying his vacation in the Maldives—one of the favorite destinations for ATP and WTA players during the off-season. The German joined his friend and colleague, Brazilian Marcelo Melo, with whom he has shared vacations on the beaches of the Maldives for several years. The world No. 3 didn't just spend his time on the beach, however; he also took advantage of the good weather to enjoy the local tennis courts, partnering with Melo, as well as playing various other sports together over the last few days. The German will return to competitive action with a difficult mission at the start of the year, where he faces the task of defending his run to the final of the 2025 Australian Open.
