Roberto Marcora was the main star of Day 4 at the 2020 Tata Open in Pune when he stunned first-seeded Benoit Paire to reach quarterfinals

Although all of the eyes in Pune were pointing to the last match of the day where the first-seeded Benoit Paire faced Roberto Marcora, the fourth day of play in India started with a match between 6th seeded James Duckworth and Taro Daniel from Japan.
The Japanese player started the match with a victory in the first set. In the 12th game of the second set, Daniel had one match point, however, Duckworth turned it away to win the set in a tie-break. The Aussie was decisive in the last set to win it 6-3 and book his spot in the quarterfinals.
The second match of the night featured another seeded player, Egor Gerasimov. The Belarusian lost the first set 2-6 to Nikola Milojevic. However, he controlled the rest of the match to win the second set 6-3 and the third 6-2 to add his name to the list of the quarterfinalists.
The fourth-seeded Soon-Woo Kwon continued in a successful day for the seeded players. World number 88 experienced no major problems against Prajnesh Gunneswaran to set up a quarterfinal against Egor Gerasimov.
At the end of the day, Roberto Marcora was there to end the day full of victories for seeded players. The Italian continues in his successful run at the 2020 Tata Open as he did not lose a set yet. The 30-years-old qualifier will be playing James Duckworth in the quarterfinals after defeating Paire 6-4, 6-4
