Daniil Medvedev became a father recently and he has a clear idea of how he plans to raise his kids, showing them many things and seeing what they like.
In an era of stage parents, Daniil Medvedev plans to be the opposite. The ability to choose his own interest was something he experienced as a child trying out many different things. He settled on tennis and it wasn't the wrong choice for obvious reasons and he plans to do the same with his kids.
During the Diriyah Tennis Cup event, Medvedev said:
"So that's how I want to be with my kids. I don't want to force them to do anything. I want to show them life. I want to for sure show them the different sports I like. I like racing, I like tennis, I like soccer."
He then expanded on it:
"But maybe they're not gonna like sports. So I want to show them different museums, arts, singers. I have no idea. But I am looking forward to it because I like this chapter of my life. I am happy that I am a father. I am looking forward to what life brings to me as a father."
The Russian ended up playing the final of the event but lost to Fritz in two close sets.
