Men's Results of 3rd rainy day at the US Open, only 4 matches were played

Since the roof is only installed at the Arthur Ashe Stadium and the Louis Armstrong Stadium, where the biggest stars mostly play, we could still see interesting matches.

At the Louis Armstrong Stadium, Kei Nishikori, who played with home player Bradley Klahn, opened the day. Although Nishikori lost the second set, he was able to win the match and the Japanese was the first player to advance on that day.

Two women's matches followed at Louis Armstrong Stadium, so the attention of men's tennis fans moved to Arthur Ashe Stadium. There Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer played their matches.

Federer did not start off the match again ideally when he lost the first set 6-3, but later dominated the match and again won 3-1.

Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, did not lose a set but was very close to it in both the first and second sets. In both sets he lost the service first, in the second even twice when he was already losing 3-0, but still managed to turn the set and won so comfortably 3-0.

The last game at Louis Armstrong Stadium was between Dominik Koepfer and Reilly Opelka. The favorite was a tall American, but he couldn't win a set in this match, so his opponent from Germany easily advanced.

Although we have seen only 4 matches, we know 5 players who will play in the 3rd round at the US Open, as Borna Coric could not play, so Grigor Dimitrov, who seems to be on the rise again, moved on to the next round.

Even though we did not see many matches during the third day, they were certainly good, but we can look forward to Thursday, when we will see the full portion of matches again as during the first two days.

Doubles matches will be added to singles matches as we already know men's and women's draw, so there will be even more action at the courts in the Flushing Meadows.
