Monfils devastated following death of renown Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh

Gael Monfils was just one of several who were deeply saddened by the sudden death of Virgil Abloh, a fashion entrepreneur and the artistic designer of Louis Vuitton Menswear collection.

Abloh passed away on Sunday at the age of 41, after a private battle with cancer. Tributes poured in from all over the world, and the French tennis star shared his condolences following the tragic passing.

"I’m so devastated by the news and still can’t believe it," Monfils stated in a Twitter post. "I had the privilege to talk with you during those years and you were a true inspiration for me."

Furthermore, Monfils revealed Abloh was the mastermind behind the design for the wedding dress worn by Elina Svitolina on the day the duo got married.

"Only few months ago you gave us the honor to design Elina wedding dress," added the World No.22. "I’m forever grateful for our connection."
