Morgan Riddle, the girlfriend of Taylor Fritz, recently shared a humorous memory from her time at the Australian Open, where she was "chased by a seagull" in Melbourne. Riddle has been in a relationship with the World No. 4 since 2020 and has traveled the globe with him during his ATP Tour commitments.
The Los Angeles-based influencer recently posted an Instagram story featuring a video of a seagull perched on a railing, recalling her encounter during a previous visit to Melbourne in a park.
“My first time in Australia a few years ago, one of these chased me in a park in Melbourne, and I still have a visceral reaction every time they get within 10 feet of me. But they're so pretty and remind me of dinosaurs," Riddle captioned her story.
Later, Riddle shared another story showing a wooden bridge, saying, "When the walk has a rickety wooden bridge."
The 27-year-old influencer is currently in Perth, Australia, with her boyfriend as they prepare for Fritz's debut at the United Cup. He will lead Team United States alongside Coco Gauff in an exciting partnership as the first seed in the tournament. They are in Group A alongside Canada and Croatia.
Fritz is set to face Felix Auger-Aliassime on December 29 and Borna Coric on December 30 in the Round Robin stage. He might also feature in mixed doubles matches if team captain Michael Russell decides to include him.
“I’m looking forward to it,” said the World No. 4 in an ATP interview about his third appearance in the tournament. “[The format] has changed a bit over the years. The year we won, we could use our team’s depth a lot more to help us. Now, a lot more things can go wrong for the favorite team when it’s just one [singles] match each and a deciding mixed doubles. So I’m still excited to play.”
