No rest for Andy Murray - and he is staying on the clay, for now. He has been given a wildcard for the Aix-en-Provence ATP Challenger event which starts next week.
Three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray will be looking to gain more reps on clay ahead of this year's Roland Garros, as the Scotsman has been granted a wildcard entry into the Aix Open Provence Crédit Agricole tennis tournament.
The event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour, and will run from May 1-7 in Aix-en-Provence, France. Tournament director Arnaud Clement announced Murray had requested for a wildcard entry for the event, which was subsequently approved.
"When Andy Murray asks you for an invitation, we think for a quarter of a second and we obviously answer yes ," said Clement.
Murray will join Gael Monfils at the tournament, as the Frenchman was also granted a wildcard entry. In addition to playing singles, Murray will be competing alongside brother Jamie Murray in the doubles event.
