The day in Antwerp started with the match between youngster Jannik Sinner and Frances Tiafoe. Sinner plays in a great form at the European Open when he defeated Majchrzak and Monfils in the previous rounds. Now he also coped with Tiafoe after a 3 set victory 6-4, 3-6 and 6-3.
Sinner was later joined by Stan Wawrinka who defeated Frenchman Gilles Simon after 2 hours and 17 minutes 6-3, 6-7 and 6-2.
Andy Murray plays perfectly in Antwerp and is slowly getting back into the top again. He did not lose a set at the European Open yet. Although Murray struggled to finish the match on his serve in the 2nd set, in the quarterfinals he outplayed Marius Copil 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 to reach the first semifinals since his return.
