Andy Murray has sht the tennis division of his own agency sealing a switch to IMG joining Raducanu who made the switchto the agency earlier.
Murray surprised many by announcing the end of his tennis agency called 77 and by the announcement of his singing with IMG. The agency he joined is a world-famous one with many prominent tennis players on its roster and is particularly known for boosting income off the court due to its vast array of connections.
Murray has never shown any interest in diversifying his portfolio off the court but that seemed to have changed which surprised many tennis fans. Raducanu has been part of IMG since her US Open triumph and they worked out a lot of brand deals for her including Tiffany & Co, Porsche, Dior, Evian, British Airways and HSBC.
The statement by the Brit reads:
"I'm looking forward to working with IMG not just for the
remainder of my playing career, but with an eye on the future and
opportunities both in tennis and in the wider business world."
His agent also commented on the situation:
"Andy has built a legacy in tennis that has not only shaped the sport but also defined its place in culture. We’re thrilled to have him join the IMG family and work together to expand his reach and influence across multiple businesses."
