Nadal remains in battle for semifinals after victory over Tsitsipas

Rafael Nadal defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas after almost 3 hours in his last appearance in the group stage at the 2019 ATP Finals.

It was another great match to watch at the ATP Finals. Rafael Nadal faced Stefanos Tsitsipas and it was obvious there will be a lot to watch as Tsitsipas is playing in a top form and Nadal is fighting for his spot in the semifinals.

In the first set, we did not see any break point opportunity and the Greek won the set 7-4 in the tie-break. But Nadal showed his fighting spirit again when he converted his 4th break point in the second set to win it 6-4.

4 break points were not enough for Nadal in the 3rd set as he needed the fifth one, to break Tsitsipas' serve and get an important lead. Nadal won the 3rd set 7-5 and has 2 points. Now, he needs the help of Daniil Medvedev, to be able to advance into semifinals. It is also already sure, that Rafa will end the year as number one for the 5th time.
