Rafael Nadal has remained in contention at the ATP Finals after victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas in a 6-7, 6-4, 7-5 win on Friday night.

Nadal as a result has ended as Year End No.1 in the ATP Rankings after coming through a marathon victory.
He needed to defeat the Greek to maintain his chance of advancing out of the round-robin format at the O2 in London. As a result, Daniil Medvedev must now defeat Alexander Zverev also tongiht in order for the Spaniard to now move through.
If Medvedev wins, Nadal will finish first in the group and face Roger Federer for a place in the title match which is a tantalising prospect.
In terms of the year end No.1 position, it's the fifth time that Nadal has finished a season in this spot and he received this title in a presentation ceremony following his victory over the Greek ace.
