Rafael Nadal could play at the Italian Open if he gets the all-clear at his final medical evaluation which is set to happen this week.
Rafael Nadal will have one final medical evaluation where he will see if he is ready to return to the courts. According to reports from Spain, the Spaniard will head to Rome and play at the Italian Open if the check turns out fine however that remains to be seen. He's been slowly preparing for a comeback for weeks though wasn't able to play in Madrid because he wasn't given the green light.
That might happen next week and it would be the first time he plays on the Tour since January when he injured his hip at the Australian Open. Playing in Rome would be good for Nadal as it would allow him to get some competitive matches in before he makes his way for Paris and Roland Garros.
