Nadal set to return home to Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell with another tournament added to recovery

Rafael Nadal has added the Barcelona Open to his return schedule as he works his way to returning to the courts on the European clay courts.

Nadal had a tricky start to the year because of an injury suffered at the Australian Open which made him miss all the events since then. It's still not clear when Nadal will come back but it's clear that he'll come back on the clay swing. The Monte-Carlo Masters is the first event Nadal is set to play according to the entry list but he hasn't yet confirmed his participation at the event.

He might do it or he might not do it but he's added the Barcelona Open to his list of events. He's played it every year basically winning it a dozen times as well. It's one of his favourite events and he'll be back this year if the injury permits. Recent reports stated that his recovery is going rather slow so nothing is certain.

The clear goal is obviously Roland Garros where he hopes to add another grand slam to his tally.
