Nick Kyrgios advances to Stuttgart semifinal after Fucsovics retires

A fairly competitive match was cut short in Stuttgart when Marton Fucsovics opted to retire due to an injury in the 2nd set against Kyrgios.

This match largely went as one might have expected it to go. Both of these players are very strong grass players and both dominated on their own serve. Fucsovics won over 90 % of points behind his first set with Kyrgios not bad either with 86 %. There weren't many chances in the opening set and we went into a tiebreak. Kyrgios got a mini-break immediately jumping out to a 3-0 lead and from there cruised to a 7-3 finish.

The Greek player jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd set as well as Fucsovics started to struggle. It's unclear what went wrong for him but he retired down 0-3 in the 2nd set as it became apparent that he won't be able to win the match.

Kyrgios moves on to the semifinal where he will face Andy Murray.
