Kyrgios Miami 2
Nick Kyrgios played his first singles match in several months and he was pretty decent on the surface which favours his playstyle quite well 7-6(3) 6-3 over Lehecka.
The Aussie player played a typical Kyrgios match where he did things pretty okay overall. It was nothing special but it did not need to be special. He had some early troubles in this match having to face a break point against Lehecka but for the most part, he was quite dominant on his own serve. Lehecka was the same in the opening set so we went to a tiebreak.
There Kyrgios finally upped his play and won it 7-3. He did that by design as it took him a while to finally find a good rhythm on the German grass. He did a similar thing in the 2nd set as he once again played quite dominant on his own serve. He did not face any break points this time around and elevated his game on time to take a 5-3 lead and finish it off 6-3.
Kyrgios hit 18 aces and committed only four double faults. He won 85 % of his first serves losing only 7 points the entire match. He saved both break points he faced and used one of three he had for a solid win in 78 minutes of play.
