Nick Kyrgios has been sidelined for several months, but the Australian seems to be ramping up his intensity in training sessions after vowing to make a return to the ATP Tour.
The former World No.13 has been out of action since October 2022. Kyrgios has dealt with several knee and wrist injuries that have derailed his return from competing on the ATP circuit. However, he has been spotted training in preparation for a return to the courts, much to the delight of fans.
"Yes. I'm back on court. Forehand is nearing-serving introduced in a month," Kyrgios wrote on Instagram, in response to a fan's question on whether he would play again on the tour.
Kyrgios has his best year on tour in 2022, winning the men's doubles title at the Australian Open alongside compatriot Thanasis Kokkinakis. He would later reach the Wimbledon final that year, finishing runner-up to Novak Djokovic. Kyrgios would also make the quarterfinals of the 2022 US Open, rounding out a spectacular year that saw him finally break through at Grand Slams.
