Nick Kyrgios is into the
Halle Open semifinal after easing past
Pablo Carreno Busta in 69 minutes 6-4 6-2.
The Australian player is backing up his claim that he's one of the best players on grass with one solid win after another. His level is more stable than last week in Stuttgart and he's playing very well overall. Pablo Carreno Busta tried his best but it was always clear that he would have a very tough time against Kyrgios. The Aussie player exerted pressure early on but Busta was able to fend off the first break point.
In the very next service game, Kyrgios was able to get the breakthrough he needed and after that, he mostly focused on his own serve. Kyrgios served out the first set 6-4 without facing a single break point all set long and dropping only two points behind his first serve
The strong effort continued in the 2nd set as Kyrgios was able to break his opponent twice en route to the 6-2 finish. Once again he did not face a single break point in the set and dropped only one point behind his first serve. Overall 13 aces and a stunning serving display from Kyrgios who moves on to the semifinal.
