Andy Murray will compete at the Queen's Club this week and
Wimbledon after that but former British No. 1 Greg Rusedski does not expect him to do well.
It has been a tough stretch of tennis for Andy Murray in the past two years as the Brit has struggled with from after undergoing several operations. When he did play he looked solid at best but Murray was adamant he would continue trying to compete at the highest level.
A good test will be this year's grass season but former British No. 1 Greg Rusedski is not optimistic. He said:
“I’d say to people this week and at Wimbledon to enjoy him while you can. I’d never talk him down but he’s realistic about what’s possible. He’s got nothing more to prove. He’s won two Wimbledon titles, two Olympic gold medals and was world No1.”
Rusedski will not completely rule out a comeback to the top but for him, his achievement in 2019 when he won the European Open in Antwerpen is a miracle in itself. He said:
"With everything he’s been through, it makes you realise how astonishing an achievement it was him winning that title in Antwerp against Stan Wawrinka. And with Andy Murray, you never say never.”
