Former world number one Serena Williams’ ex-coach Rennae Stubbs believes that Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic will win another major title before ending his career.
The 36-year-old is often regarded as the greatest player in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era, having won as many as 24 Grand Slam titles in his illustrious career.
Stubbs, while responding to a post from a user on the social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — where she backed Djokovic to win another major title in his career.
The Belgrade-born is currently taking part in the ATP Finals in Turin where he won the first match against Denmark’s Holger Rune with a score of 7-6, 6-7, 6-3. However, in the second match, he was second-best against Italy’s Jannik Sinner who came out on top with a score of 7-5, 6-7, 7-6.
He will next face Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz in the last group match of the competition on Thursday. Both players have faced off six times on the court where the current world number one has won on all occasions.
Their last meeting was in the round of 16 at Wimbledon earlier this year where Djokovic came out on top with a score of 7-6, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4.
