The nominees have been released for the annual ATP Awards, with fan favorites Rafael Nadal and Diego Schwartzman each receiving a nod.
The categories include Comeback Player of The Year, Most Improved Player of The Year and Coach of the Year. The winners will be determined by the ATP players themselves, while the coaches will choose the Coach of the Year.
Diego Schwartzman, who had a breakthrough year by qualifying for his maiden ATP Finals, received two nominations; for the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award and Most Improved.
Rafael Nadal was nominated in the Sportsmanship category, along with US Open champion Dominic Thiem. Russian Andrey Rublev, who won a tour-leading five titles in 2020, received a nomination for Most Improved Player, alongside Jannik Sinner and Ugo Humbert.
The #NextGenATP stars also received a category, with rising stars Carlos Alcaraz and Lorenzo Musetti being announced as nominees. Musetti notably defeated three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka in the first round of the 2020 Rome Masters.
