Novak Djokovic reaches 7th Wimbledon final after beating Shapovalov

Novak Djokovic was able to break the will of Denis Shapovalov who wasted several golden opportunities in the match he lost 7-6(3) 7-5 6-4.
The start of the match did not feature great play by Djokovic who lost his serve early on. Shapovalov was serving extremely well and he caught Djokovic by surprise who also had two double faults early. The Canadian maintained the lead with ease for the majority of the set at one point winning 15 points in a row on his serve.
However, when he needed to serve it out he collapsed and Djokovic was able to push the match towards a tiebreak. Shapovalov had a negative score in tiebreaks this season and he completely collapsed in it giving Djokovic the win despite the Serbian struggling as well.
The 2nd set was another curious set as Shapovalov once again dominated on his own serve while giving Djokovic a lot of trouble on his serve. The Serbian needed to saved 5 break points in two separate games to stay in the set and he did. Later on at 5-5, he broke Shapovalov at the perfect time to win the 2nd 7-5.
The 3rd set opened with both players successfully saving break points. After that, both found some rhythm and were able to win their service games. Djokovic finally found a breakthrough at 5-5 after Shapovalov saved several break points.
He then served it out with 7-5 for another Wimbledon final where Matteo Berrettini awaits him.
