Novak Djokovic surges past $180,000,000 career mark after heading up Prize Money Earners for 2023

Novak Djokovic has surged past $180,000,000 in his career in prize money earned as the 2023 season comes to a close with another show of the Serbian ace being on top. He leads far and away the prize money earners despite only playing 12 tournaments this year.
Djokovic sits on $15,952,044 for the season including $15,947 from doubles matches. He played all four Grand Slam finals and won three of them. He sealed seven titles over the season and was far and away leading Carlos Alcaraz.
Alcaraz leads the best of the rest in the standings which are often a good gauge as to the top performers on the ATP Tour. He hit $10,753,431 ahead of Daniil Medvedev ($9,239,679) and Jannik Sinner ($8,349,392). This is far and away better than Andrey Rublev, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas next up who all sit around the $4-5m mark in earnings this season.
Alcaraz was the only other player to breach $10,000,000 this season thanks to winning Wimbledon and showing pay disparity between the two tours, he was second to Djokovic on both counts with Iga Swiatek leading the other list but still behind the leading duo despite being World No.1.

- I love WTA matches. Seek them out as much as possible on youtube and other platforms I already subscribe to. With that in mind, I do not wish to pay $$$ to a notoriously slippery subscription conglomerate sports broadcaster (like SkySports) just for the privilege to watch it and the tnt/eurosport/discovery subscription went from $$ to $$$+ annually in a blink of an eye. With ATP I have been begrudgingly paying xyz tennis only channel and try to catch up on slams elsewhere (pubs, youtube with USO later on games are just as enjoyable to watch and a smart move to upload on their official channel) but they don't cover WTA. I tried another Tennis dedicated channel that advertised originally as broadcasting where I live, but turned out, they took the money, but didn't cover the matches (only fluff/filler value documentaries). I don't understand why it is so hard to not lock the live matches to one broadcaster only refusing so many people who are happy to pay for the privilege just not through that one entry point. WTA is so exciting for the last few years and they really should capitalise on it as much as possible. And I know it is somewhat naive talking without knowing the inner works, but not being able to find any WTA other than youtube (and then only highlights mostly) is just so frustrating.JayJay11-09-2026
