Emma Raducanu fourth highest paid athlete in 2023 despite not playing most of the season with Coco Gauff breaking out in front

Emma Raducanu has not played for most of this year's tennis season, but her endorsements and star power way from the court are very much still evident despite getting pedalled by some as a one-hit wonder.
Albeit in the highest paid female athletes of the year, she has slid down ever so slightly. She was third last year, but is still inside the top five alongside another player who has also not played a lot this year in Naomi Osaka.
Gauff rises to the top
Raducanu played only 10 matches, but earned $16.2m overall with $16m of it coming through endorsements. Osaka topped the list last year and skipped this season, but still managed to claim $15m this season. Top of the list though was Coco Gauff. The American finished the season with $6,669,622 in prize money with the bulk of that coming from the US Open. But with $16m in endorsements, it shows that the US darling is catching up to the rest of the pack.
As is Iga Swiatek who in the past has been seen as unfashionable to some but is second with $12m albeit with $9.9m of her total coming from Prize Money. Aryna Sabalenka sits sixth on the list with $9.5m alongside Elena Rybakina and a bit back Jessica Pegula with $9m. Leylah Fernandez and Ons Jabeur are also both in the top 15.

- The main difference for bigger names like Alcaraz, Sinner, Zverez, etc. is that they usually make it to the later stages of tournaments while 99% of the other players win a round or two and then move on to the next tournament.
